Rachel Vreeman and Aaron Carroll, researchers at Indiana University, combed through 12 studies and found good news for junk-food-junkies. According to their research, sugar doesn’t make kids hyperactive. They’ve proven that chasing down a package of Oreos with a 2-liter of Mountain Dew will not, in fact, make a child more prone to go bananas. Yes!

At first. Until you spend a few minutes imagining crispy, thin, maple-smoked, melt-in-your-mouth bacon. Put that together with a dense, rich, buttery, maple-frosted doughnut. Do you see where I’m going. Sounds pretty good doesn’t it?

I’ve always wondered about Blood Pudding. I know it sounds gross, but I think it might be good. I’d definitely try it if I had the chance. Blood Pudding is essentially sausage that is set in congealed blood. Wikipedia has an extensive article on Blood (or Black) Pudding and all the variations.

Guilty Pleasure
Why is so much of what we crave bad for us? I wish I longed for fresh spinach, cantaloupe and baked sweet potatoes – all foods that are good for me. Instead, I find myself craving Hershey’s Take 5’s and pizza rolls from Food Castle.
